Coat of Arms

This little acrylic number is painted on gallery-wrapped canvas, ready to hang, and measures 8″ x 8″.

Next to the circle, I think square might be my favorite shape.  I like the symmetry and the order that’s implied by having all four sides the same size.  It’s very grounding, as opposed to the circle, which is flighty and free.

Combining the order of the square with this simple pattern pleases me a great deal.  Ah, I feel calmer already.
