Now, I’m not saying this is the last painting I have in an oval frame… but it could be. It’s the last one I have hanging in my hallway gallery, at any rate.
When this one was finished, it was obvious that it’s name was Fire. Oh, I suppose it could have been Magma or Lava… I just can’t convince my brain of that.
This is very well done and very realistic. My recent theme is also on “fire” , I guess winter is catching up with all of us.

Looks like Pepperoni to me……….
@Sadia… if this is a response to the coming of winter, there’s going to be a lot of fiery paintings showing up here between now and May!
@Paul… that’s because you’re craving a Chicago style pizza, dude! LOL Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!
You know you can’t go wrong with a fire theme around me.
So I’m wondering, since encaustics are made with hot wax, do they have a unique texture? A 3-D quality when you seem them in real life?

Magma! I like that title. And I do love the oval frames. This one looks just like that glow-y orange-y magma-y stuff you always see trickling out of volcanoes.
