I just love it when You post something that makes me sit up and take notice and this one did the trick.
Really Nice Work.
Beamer
Beamer’s last blog post… Another Tree at Night
Very cool looking. Has a real sci-fi, alien landscape quality to it.
haleyhughes’s last blog post… Wordless Wednesday: We haz popcicle
Very beautiful, dramatic landscape… powerful!!!
amy lilley’s last blog post… Wordless Wednesday
What is this? You must explain… I need WORDS!!!
Monique’s last blog post… I Have A Lot To Say…
@Beamer… thank you, kind sir! I feel all happy when a non-abstract-loving person likes my abstracts.
@haleyhughes… most of my encaustics tend to look like alien landscapes, which always makes me laugh when they’re mistaken for photographs at art shows and craft fairs.
@amy… thanks! I’m thinking I need to pull out the irons and the griddle and paint more of these.
@Monique… what kind of words do you need? This is an abstract encaustic painting. Encaustics… painted with colored wax. Um. Alien landscape, as Haley mentioned. Anything else? Oh, how about this… FOR SALE. LOL
Ok, this is what I want, in the colors that I send you!!! It’s GORGEOUS!!!
Ah ha! Very good! You want an encaustic painting. Good, good, good… all the more reason to pull out all the stuff it takes to make one of them. Now all I need is a size (and your color swatches, of course).
