This piece is in a private collection now. (It’s so cool to say that.) It was a gift to the woman who now owns the house where I grew up. How many people are generous enough to open their homes to some who hadn’t lived there for 30+ years? Not only did she welcome me like we were long-lost friends, but she took me on a tour of the house, pointing out all the fabulous and amazing renovations that had been done. To say that I was blown away would be an understatement.
This piece contains a lot of the colors I remember from the house when I was growing up and shakes them up into a modern cyclone of color.
I love this piece. And I think it’s especially cool that it went to the owner of the house you used to live in. I’d love to be able to go back and revisit my childhood home.

Until my baby brother wandered by and asked to see all the work the current owner had done (he’s one of those bold as can be kind of people), I never would have wanted to go see it. When we lived there it was kind of a dump. Now… well, the evil spirit is even gone from the basement!
