I was apparently quite enthralled with whichever program I was using to create these fractals (Apophysis or Chaoscope… not really sure which), as I’ve got a whole folder full of them. I just changed my desktop background to this one today. It reminds me of those ear horns you see old people using in cartoons. Unfortunately, I saved them all at 72ppi (or the higher resolution ones got eaten when one of my computers died). [Update: three million cheers for the Photoshop plugin Genuine Fractal!]
Apparently You still don’t have that program still. That’s too bad. I love fractals and you have some real beauties.

My first thought was an ear, so close to your interpretation. You should collect these ideas and then do some deep psychological analysis of them 🙂

I like Apophysis, though I seldom play around with it anymore-blogging seems to take all my time now-that and plurk. But I found a lot of Dragon Egg stuff on Deviant Art and That is sort of what this reminds me of. Looks cool.
I love that one! 🙂

@Beamer… it’s possible that I have one or both of the programs on a back up CD here someplace. You know how that goes. I’d be better off just re-downloading them.
@A… I’m not sure I need to do a deep psychological analysis of my art to figure out that I’m as crazy as a loon. LOL!
@Descartes… I have to confess to a deeper love of Ultra Fractal, but I suspect that’s only because I can stack layer upon layer upon layer to create some intensely complicated fractals. But for simplicity, Apophysis rules. And really… sometimes simple is better.
