A while back, I bought some linen paper. It looks like linen cloth, it feels pretty nifty and I thought it would be fun to experiment with.
What I discovered is that it absolutely hates watercolors. They just bead up and look nasty. I have a variety of markers here, and they all seemed to do fairly well, as does the stamping ink. But the acrylics! Oh yum! The paper is pretty flimsy for something as heavy as acrylics, but I love how it looks. Ah, but this is why we have backing boards, yes? Yes!
And because I was in one of those “moods” the day I trimmed the paper — trimming it square rather than to a somewhat standard size — I’ll have to frame it with one of those “buy all four sides and put it together yourself” frames. I’m not sure, but this one might turn out to be one of those paintings I save for myself.
Kelly, you hit it with this one! It is beautiful. I can’t say I blame you for wanting to keep it. Now go do another one.

I love it! I agree with ettarose. Go do another one. That is just the kind of art I love. It makes you feel something when you view it. Nicely done!
Tasty indeed! (reminds me of Fast Times at Ridgemont High) heheeheh
I love this too, I love water paintings and photographs.
On a side note, did you read my latest post about being sort of in your neck of the woods?

Ok, ok! I’ll definitely try to do another one. But only if one of you promises to buy it. LOL!
On the other hand, since I’ve pretty much run out of walls in my very large house, and want to move to a smaller house, perhaps I’ll just auction this one off too.
Nice website. I love the pic you painted, Storm at Sea!
