Whew! Wasn’t that fun? I love those collage pieces, and from all the comments, so do you guys. As of this morning, 12 of the 16 pieces are in my Etsy store. Just so you know, I’ve got another (very similar) series waiting in the wings called Collaged Femmes.
My brain has also been filling up with ideas for more art. If you’ve seen all the art in my portfolio, you’ll notice I occasionally name a piece after a song. I create a piece and notice that it reminds me of a certain song. Or I will create a piece in response to the music. But I’ve recently had flashes of ideas in response to the words in the songs I’m hearing. I should mention that I’m listening to the local “oldies” station… so these songs are all from the 50s and 60s, and (to a lesser extent) the 70s and 80s. Most of them will probably turned out to be mixed-media (acrylic + collage).
Don’t expect to see these soon. 🙂 I have to work around my utterly necessary project of decluttering most of the rooms in my very large house.
You’re very creative and to keep coming up with new ideas, that is awesome.
Thanks for your prayers for my son’s recovery. He’s home from the hospital. We are relieved to know the cause of his abdominal pains and that it is not life-threatening.
Happy weekend!

Sigh. I wish I had your creativity AND energy. I’ve gone thru phases where I’m really into something: collage, decoupage, painting, but I never stick with it. Perhaps because I’m not very talented! But you are, and I hope you can keep finding the time to pour yourself into all your creative ventures.

I’ve been enjoying your collage work too. Kind of like the digital scrapbooking I’ve seen.
Looking forward to your next great experiment in another creative medium.
@ecl… I was relieved to hear your son was feeling better!
@JD… ah, you have no idea now many thing I’ve started and not finished! I’m not as bad as my mother who started crocheting an afghan when she was pregnant with my middle brother… and he finished it himself when he was around 20. (Oh, and I think everyone has talent for something!)
@Laura… wow, I’ve never seen any kind of scrapbooking that resembled this stuff. That might actually be something I could get into. (OH NO! No more addictions!!!)
