Saratoga Springs is a happenin’ place in summer. Lots of horse people and people who like horse people. Me, I like horses well enough, but watching them run around in circles never appealed to me.
One of the fun things going on in Saratoga last week was Art in the Park. The track was dark, and it was a fantastically beautiful day. The best part of the day, I’m sure, was when three delightful young ladies came by my tent to admire my work. What made them so special? They actually admitted out loud that certain of my paintings made them happy. Who says stuff like that? I love it! So refreshing! Each of them purchased a painting to adorn their dorm rooms.
Here’s to you ladies… enjoy this year at college! Do well, be happy, and stay enthusiastic about life. Oh yes… and keep art in your lives!
