So here I am trying my hand at photography. This is from my garden last year. I think the only thing I did with this in Photoshop was crop it a bit. Not bad, huh?
The woman who owned the house before us planted all sorts of really great flowers that seem to come up every year. It’s a good thing, because if I had to tend to a garden, I’d have nothing but weeds. I know there are people who love gardening — my best friend is one of those people — but I’m not keen on having dirt under my fingernails. Paint and ink? Bring it on!
I’m going to make a commitment here to take my camera around with me all this week, and just take pictures! I’ll share with you anything interesting that comes of it.

Good start!
And taking your camera with you every time is a good idea.
A visual notepad – and you never know what you run to!
Cheers, Klaus
Hi Klaus… welcome!
It was so much easier to carry around my camera when I had one of those small digital things. But that fell into the black hole of my daughter’s world and now I have a big, clunky (though absolutely FABULOUS) digital SLR. But once the world wakes up from winter and starts getting more color, I think I’ll manage to start carrying around the clunker.
